Gaucher Voices

Neal Weinreb

Dr. Weinreb became interested in Gaucher disease more than 30 years ago as a NIH Research Associate for Roscoe Brady. Dr. Weinreb helped formulate some of the purification procedures which eventually led to the production of cerezyme. Dr. Weinreb is an active participant in the Gaucher and Fabry Registries.  He now devotes his professional attention to clinical research and management of patients with Lysosomal Storage Diseases, especially Gaucher and Fabry diseases.  He is the father of 3 and a certifiably indulgent Grandpa to 8 grandchildren.
