THE DIET FILM

Gaining weight is easy. 60% of America is overweight.

Losing weight is hard-- keeping it off is even harder. More than 90% of those who lose weight regain it.

It’s pretty easy to see that dieting in America is a joke.

There are hundreds of different diets, all of which work or don’t work to some degree. At any given time, half the adult population is on a diet. Americans spend $40 billion each year on diets and have little to show for it.

So with all this activity and so little success, something must be wrong. What’s the missing element?

We suggest that all the struggle to lose weight is far too serious and that successful dieting in America lacks an essential element--humor.

Therefore, in the interest of saving America (and ourselves) from our gluttonous tendencies, we are creating we believe will be an extremely funny film about dieting.

Based on some fairly wacky research, we are pretty sure that if you can laugh your way through a diet, you are far more likely to succeed.
